Siser Glitter is the go-to heat transfer vinyl for maximum sparkle without the mess — no glitter shedding, no flaking, no cleanup. The glitter finish is locked into the PU film, so it stays on the garment through repeated washing and won't transfer onto skin or other fabrics. What Makes Siser Glitter Different
Most glitter materials shed — loose glitter particles transfer to skin, other fabrics, and work surfaces during cutting, weeding, and wearing. Siser Glitter doesn't. The glitter particles are encapsulated in the PU film, so the sparkle stays exactly where it's applied. The result is a durable glitter finish that survives 50 wash cycles without fading, shedding, or cracking on stable woven fabrics.
At 325 microns (12.8 mil) Siser Glitter is significantly thicker than standard EasyWeed — this is what gives it the tactile texture and depth of a genuine glitter finish rather than a printed metallic effect. The thickness also means it's not the right material for intricate fine-cut designs — minimum line thickness of 1/16" applies, and simpler bold designs will always look better in glitter than complex fine-detail work.
The 20" width handles oversized glitter graphics, full-name back panels on jerseys, and gang sheets with multiple designs cut in a single pass — the most common production use cases for Glitter HTV in a shop environment.
Siser Glitter vs Siser EasyWeed — Key Differences
These are different materials with different application requirements. Do not apply Glitter at EasyWeed settings — the higher temperature and firm pressure of Glitter are required for proper adhesion.

Layering With Siser Glitter
Glitter can only be used as a top layer — it cannot be layered on top of itself and should not have other HTV applied on top of it. When combining Glitter with EasyWeed in a multi-color design, apply the EasyWeed base layer first, tack for 1–3 seconds and peel hot, then apply the Glitter as the final top layer and press for the full 10–15 seconds at 320°F with firm pressure. Always use a non-stick cover sheet to protect the glitter surface during pressing.
Application Instructions
- Cut your design mirrored using a 45° or 60° blade
- Weed the excess material — use bold designs, minimum 1/16" line thickness
- Pre-press your garment for 2–3 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles
- Cover with a non-stick sheet to protect the glitter surface
- Apply at 320°F, firm pressure, 10–15 seconds
- Peel warm — do not peel hot or cold
- Wait 24 hours before first wash
- Machine wash inside-out, warm or cold, mild detergent — no bleach, no dry clean
Cutter settings:
- Graphtec: 45° or 60° blade, force 10–14, 30cm/s
- Roland GS-24: 45° or 60° blade, force 100–120g, offset .250mm, 20cm/s
- Siser Juliet/Romeo: 45° or 60° blade, force 10–20g, 10cm/s
Always test cut before any production run.
Note for shiny polyester and dazzle cloth: Dampen a cloth with isopropyl alcohol and gently apply to the press area before application. Allow to dry before pressing. This helps the adhesive penetrate coated polyester surfaces.
