Chizzler Vinyl Removal Tool | Plastic Scraper for Decals, Graphics and Adhesive

The Chizzler is a rigid polycarbonate removal tool that sign makers and wrap installers use to lift vinyl edges, strip old decals and clear adhesive residue without scratching the surface underneath. Its rolled, beveled edge gets under vinyl like a blade would, but it won't cut into paint, clear coat, aluminum or acrylic.

What Is a Chizzler?

A Chizzler is a small, hand-held plastic scraper made for vinyl removal. It's 2.3125" x 3", with one flat side and one slightly beveled side finished with a rolled edge, plus a thumb spot for grip. The low profile slides into seams and tight spots around trim, emblems and moldings where a razor blade would be risky.

Applications & Uses

Shops use the Chizzler to lift the first edge on old lettering, strip decals and striping from vehicles and sign blanks, clean up wrap and PPF seams, and scrape off tape and adhesive residue. On stubborn adhesive, soften the residue with Rapid Remover adhesive remover first, then work it off with the Chizzler.

For removal jobs on sign faces, it's also a safe way to strip vinyl from aluminum sign blanks and acrylic sign sheets so they can be re-lettered.

Removing vs. Applying

The Chizzler is a removal tool. For installing new vinyl, use a squeegee such as the felt-wrapped ORAFOL squeegee, 3M PA-1 Gold squeegee or Siser squeegee.
