Applications & Uses
Pre-painted aluminum blanks are the professional standard for flat outdoor signs. They hold up to weather and take cut vinyl, screen printing or direct digital print without surface prep. The white finish gives applied vinyl and printed graphics a clean, consistent base.
Common jobs include real estate signs, parking and facility signs, directional signs, contractor signs and political signs. For parking and traffic signs that need to show up at night, apply ORALITE 5500 engineer grade reflective vinyl by ORAFOL. For standard lettering, use Oracal 651 vinyl.
Mount blanks with frame clips and real estate sign frames, or drill for post and wall mounting.
Which Gauge?
.040 is the standard weight for most sign work, including real estate and directional signs. Step up to .063 for larger signs and longer-term installs. Choose .080, the heaviest, for premium installs where the sign needs maximum rigidity.
