Sign-grade acrylic in full 4x8 (48" x 96") sheets and larger, for illuminated channel letter faces, lightbox panels, backlit signs, point-of-purchase displays and dimensional letters.
Most shops call it plexiglass; Plexiglas is a brand name for the same PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) sheet, which is UV-stable for indoor and outdoor sign work. 4x8 sheets come in 1/8" and 3/16" in White 7328 and Clear; larger sheets come in 3/16" White 7328.

Applications & Uses
Sign-grade acrylic is the industry standard substrate for illuminated channel letter faces, lightbox panels, backlit signs, point-of-purchase displays and dimensional letters. Compatible with digital printing, vinyl application and screen printing without additional surface preparation.
White 7328 is a common sign white for illuminated faces; it spreads LED light evenly across channel letter faces and lightbox panels. For colored backlit graphics, apply Oracal 8500 translucent vinyl by ORAFOL directly to the face. Clear sheet covers display cases, sign covers and second-surface graphics.
More impact resistant than glass at about half the weight. Thermoformable for curved applications. Cuts cleanly with standard panel saws, routers and laser cutters.
Acrylic or Polycarbonate?
Acrylic gives a harder, glossier and more rigid face at a lower cost. Polycarbonate is the better choice where a sign may take a hit, such as low-mounted, high-traffic or vandal-prone locations. For non-illuminated panels, ACM and PVC sign sheets are the usual picks.

Is acrylic the same as plexiglass?
Yes. Plexiglass is the common name for acrylic (PMMA), taken from the Plexiglas brand. Our sign-grade acrylic is the same material.
What thicknesses do you carry in 4x8?
1/8" and 3/16", in White 7328 and Clear. For other gauges, call 1-800-999-3160.
