Applications & Uses
The 15" punched format is designed for desktop and mid-size vinyl plotters using roll-fed media with optical sensing — the punched holes allow the cutter's registration system to track media position accurately for precise cuts on reflective vinyl. At 15" wide the roll handles lettering, numbers, small logos, and striping tape applications for fleet identification, DOT compliance markings, and emergency vehicle graphics. The standard liner format suits shops cutting dry, without the RapidAir liner's repositionability, where the higher initial tack of the standard adhesive is preferred for small cut pieces that need to stay in place during weeding and transfer.
5600 vs 5600RA — Standard Liner vs RapidAir
The 5600 and 5600RA are the same fleet engineer grade reflective film. The difference is the liner and adhesive. The standard 5600 has a conventional silicone liner with higher initial tack — better for cut graphics where the piece needs to hold position during weeding. The 5600RA has the RapidAir liner with lower initial tack — better for large-format and wrap applications where repositionability is needed. For small cut lettering and striping, the standard 5600 is typically the right choice.
| Product | Liner | Tack | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| ORALITE 5600 | Standard | Higher | Cut lettering, striping, small graphics |
| ORALITE 5600RA | RapidAir | Lower initial | Large panels, fleet wraps, digital print |
