Professional over-lamination for long-term indoor and outdoor print applications requiring conformability — vehicle graphics, fleet wraps, curved architectural surfaces, point-of-sale displays and premium outdoor signage. The cast construction allows the film to conform to compound curves and deep channels without lifting, wrinkling or silvering — making it the correct choice wherever the 215 calendered film would fail.
Apply over printed vinyl graphics including Oracal 651 and printed media to protect against UV degradation, abrasion, moisture, chemicals and handling wear.
Oraguard 290 vs Oraguard 215 — Which to Use
The two most commonly compared laminates in the Oraguard lineup serve different applications. Oraguard 215 is a 2.75 mil intermediate calendered film with 5-year durability — the right choice for flat panel applications where cost-efficiency matters. Oraguard 290 is a 2 mil premium cast film with 8-year durability — the right choice for curved surfaces, vehicle wraps and long-term premium outdoor applications where maximum conformability is required. If your prints are going on flat substrates only, 215 is sufficient. If they're going on vehicles, curved surfaces or anywhere conformability matters, 290 is the correct specification.
Oraguard 290 vs Oraguard 293
The 293 is the next step up in the Oraguard cast laminate lineup — designed for specialty applications including repositionable graphics and high-performance fleet wraps.
