Description
The 5952 family of 3M VHB Tapes uses modified acrylic adhesive on both sides of a conformable foam core. That combination of strength, conformability, and adhesion makes 5952 one of the most capable tapes in the VHB lineup.
3M VHB Tape holds a durable bond that mechanical fasteners can't match, thanks to its viscoelastic damping and energy absorption. It also enhances the look of finished goods, and fastening with VHB Tape is usually faster than drilling, fastening, or using liquid adhesives.
It bonds well to painted surfaces, medium surface energy plastics, and irregular surfaces, without needing an adhesion promoter. The acrylic chemistry holds up across a wide temperature range and resists breaking down over time.
